Schlake Challenge Champion

For the second year in a row, OBCR standout Darin Schlake claimed victory in the Capital City MTB Challenge. Branched Oak Lake Area #7 provided a dusty, fast course for some of the states top mountain bikers saturday afternoon. Schlake controlled the race from the beginning setting a blistering pace that could not be answered, despite the efforts of a strong field of racers. NHS/UNMC rider Mike Johnson dished out the best test, closing within 16 seconds of Schalke in the final lap.
