Course description and profile

A 149 kilometre journey from Lucera to Potenza is on the menu for stage 3, with the riders starting from the Basilicata in Lucera. The first part of the stage is undulating, with a climb up to Melfi (498 m) after 78 kilometres. The stage has its only GPM at the Castel Lagopesole (770 m, km 114.7), and could precipitate a successful breakaway.
