Blue Skies and warm weather greeted 61 riders in the Off Road time trial, first phase of the National XC Series (Round 3) which is being held on the Blue Range National MTB facility in the ACT.
The time trial was staged over a rough, tight and twisty track that comprised both single and fire road sections.
Riders found the course tough and one that tested their complement of MTB'ing skills to the maximum. The general comment was that it was a very intense experience.
The fasted time was achieved from Sid Tabberlay in 14.41 with Merida Rider, Simon Bishop only ten seconds later and Paul Raddenbach a tiny 3 seconds further back.
In Elite Women, Delleys Franke recorded at blistering 17.15, followed by Jaci Low (17.36) and Wendy Walker (18.23).
The XC#3 event concludes on Sunday, December 2, with a traditional XC event staged over the same course used in the previous two MTBA National Championships.
