Gilmore wins final stage

The final stage today, and relatively flat and fast. There were no serious attacks early, with the stage finishing on a 6 km circuit around St. Amand-Montrond.

The Aussies were out for a stage win, intially trying to get riders clear on the final circuit. Rochelle Gilmore saved her energy for the predicted final bunch sprint, and with the five strong Aussie lead out from 4 km to go, Rochelle had the dream run into the final 200 metres and won convincingly.

Best Australian overall was Sara Carrigan, who also took out the under 23 category overall, whilst junior Vanessa Crawford had a very impressive first tour in Europe with 14th overall.
