Preview

The 17th edition of the Regio Tour International commences on August 8, and is held for the most part in Germany. The five day 2.3 class stage race will see 20 teams in attendance, including six from division I.

Andrea Tafi (Mapei) will make his return to racing after an operation on his left leg more than three months ago, and there will be other faces reappearing such as Danilo Hondo (Telekom) and Pietro Caucchioli (Alessio). Filippo Simeoni (Cantina Tollo), Laurent Brochard (Jean Delatour) and Thomas Liese (Nürnberger) are others to look out for in this race.
