Beating second man home, former professional Rob Holden, by 1 minute and 39 seconds over the 27 mile course in North Yorkshire. Dangerfield covered the distance in 56.40 with Holden recording 58.19. Third place went to Matt Bottrill, 2 minutes off Dangerfield's pace with 58.40. The women's event, over 18 miles, was won by Scotland's Sally Ashbridge making one of her rare trips across the border. Ashbridge, who won the women's national 25 mile title earlier this year, returned a time of 42.41 to beat the 2000 women's Best All Rounder Liz Milne by 2.04. Theresa Coltman took third place at 2.28 to consolidate her position at the top of the table in the overall standings in the women's competition. The junior event, again over 18 miles, went to Carl Dyson (Team Omega), who is also overall leader in the the junior series.
