Brighton Mitre 25 mile time trial

Brighton, 5 August, 2001

After winning on the weekend of the 28th July at the Southborough 25 mile time trial, Alan Curtis (In Gear Racing Team), scored another victory at the Brighton Mitre 25 mile time trial.

Curtis rode to victory over Richard Prebble (Team Clean), with a margin of 1 minute 4 seconds. Prebble, third in this year's National 25 mile Championship, is on the same team as Sean Yates, who Curtis managed a great victory over last weekend, the 28th & 29th of July.

Third place was taken by Graeme Stirzaker (Angliasport) in 56.10, with Curtis' In Gear Racing Team mate Steve Elms in fourth place on 56.19.

Curtis said, "I felt tired yesterday, but once I'd warmed up I felt really strong".

This weekend Curtis will turn his hand to road racing, before beginning his preparation for his end of season goals.
