Stage 2a - April 28: Jawor - Lubin, 148 km

The 148 kilometre stage 2a ended (despite 3 average size climbs) in a bunch sprint, won by Adam Wadecki (Mroz) - Piotr's younger brother. (These two look just like a Polish version of the Zberg brothers!) Wadecki beat the experienced Grzegorz Gronkiewicz (Weltour) and young Czech Petr Herman (PSK Remerx).

Stage 2b - April 28: Chojnów - Glogów, 87 km

The second half stage was just 85 kilometres, but the riders had to fight not only with each other, but also with heavy rain and even hail. Seven strong riders managed to escape from the peloton: Wacker, Piatek, Lupeikis (Mroz), Przydzial and Sosenka (CCC), Pawlak (Atlas) and race leader Slawomir Chrzanowski (Weltour). Chrzanowski again was the fastest and retained his lead, 2nd on the stage was Wacker, while third was Pawlak.

Tomorrow is just an ITT, and Sosenka's prospects for the overall win are good since he's a very good time trialist. However, so is Eugen Wacker.

Stage 3 - April 29: Legnica - Legnica ITT, 17 km

The final stage was a battle between Ondrej Sosenka (CCC) and Eugen Wacker (Mroz). The Czech won the stage, but the Kirgystani rider had some bonus seconds in hand, and took the GC.

The race was dominated by foreign riders from Polish teams, and it looks like Wacker made enough (in terms of UCI points) to get him an entry into the 2001 World Championships.
