Italian sprinter, Greta Zocca (GAS Sport), has won the GP de Liberazione Donne for the second year in a row, beating Katia Longhin (Acca Due O) and Regina Schleicher (Michela Fanini) in a bunch sprint. The UCI category 1 race took place on the same day as the U23 Men's GP Liberazione, won by Alberto Loddo this year. However, the women raced in Crema while the men raced in Rome.

There were 137 starters in dry, cool conditions, with a completely flat 10 km circuit being completed 11 times. No serious attempts were expected to gain too much of an advantage with the constant, high tempo being set, and the longest breakaway going out to 18 seconds for only 1 lap.

There were still over 100 riders in contention for the mass sprint, but last year's winner Greta Zocca overcame the pressure to win by over 5 metres.
