Consistent racing paid off for NHS/UNMC rider Mike Johnson Saturday at Branched Oak as he stayed the pace to finish third and grab top honors in the overall point series. In one of the more exciting races of the series, OBCR teammates Kevin Wilkins and Darin Schalke held off a late attack by Matt Gersib of NHS/UNMC who fought his way back from the middle of the field. During the final minutes of the race, Gersib closed the gap and took the lead before losing control of his machine and a first place finish to Schlake of OBCR.

Other top finishers included: Nate Woodman of SNORT in Sport Men, Blue's Bike rider Dawn Clements in Sport Women, Greg Theiss of OBCR in the Masters 30+ event, Dave Pleskac in Masters 40+, the Beginner Men race went to Rick Campos, Penny Lasley claimed the top spot in Beginner Women and Tyler Carmichael grabbed his third first place finish of the series in the Junior's race.
