Le Croisty - Plouay, 24.5 kmPreview Start List Route Description Profile Preview65 junior men's riders will take the start just after midday in their 24.5 kilometre event from Le Croisty to Plouay. It is hoped that the weather will be a little better than yesterday's U23 men's and junior women's events which were conducted in heavy rain. Today will be a day for Poland's Piotr Mazur to confirm his status as the number one junior male rider in the world. Starting second last, Mazur has an excellent chance of taking out the event although the number one seed is Frenchman, Romain Genter. Others to watch include Belgian Jurgen Van Den Broeck, Russian Vladimir Goussev, Great Britain's Keiran Page, Swiss Gilbert Obrist and Australian Ashley Humbert. The first 8 kilometres (to Le Croix de Nations) is all downhill, dropping 100 metres before it levels out. After a small rise at kilometre 14, the parcours descends further to an altitude of 50 metres. The final climb is with 3 kilometres to go, a 1.5 km drag at 4 percent that should really determine who the strongest rider is. Profile |
