Uzbekistani time trial specialist Damir Iratov took Stage Six by just three one-hundredths of a second from Dutchman Peep Mikli. Mikli's VI Peddler team mate and race leader Rafael Chyla was third over the mixed course.

Speaking through an interpreter, 22 year old Iratov said, "Before the start, I was aiming to win one stage in the Tour, especially in the time trial although I realised that it would not be easy for me to achieve it.''
