Wawan, who won five of the eight sprints in the race, clocked 1h 49.11. Chyla, of Dutch amateur team Village International Peddler, was also given the same time. The judges, after looking at the photo finish picture, declared the result a classical photo finish but Wawan prevailed for collecting more sprint points than Chyla yesterday. Third was Kuala Lumpur rider Musairi Musa, who clocked 1.49.17 for the 40-lap race around Port Dickson town. Wawan, who used his sprinting power to win the sprints in laps 10, 25, 30, 35 and the finish, also powered Indonesia to win the team category yesterday. "I felt I could win it because I was very strong in the last 150 metres. But Chyla showed his class by pushing me all the way," said Wawan after the race. Both riders were given 10 bonus points for being in the deadheat and because of that, Chyla also led the standings for the King of the Sprints. But the Germany-based Chyla, who is hoping to be a professional, had to concede the green jersey to teammate Peep Mikli, who has 46 points to his 47, because UCI rules forbid a cyclist from wearing two jerseys. Chyla, who is the race leader with an accumulated time of 10hr 31.41, thus kept the yellow jersey for the fourth consecutive day. Second is KL's Suhaimi with a total time of 10.32.21 while Musairi is coming on strong by lying third with 10.32.30. Suhaimi also maintained his red jersey as the best local rider but Musairi and Selangor's Mahazir Hamat, who is on 10.32.36, are capable of coming closer in the time trial over 6.5km at Johor Baru today.
