Groenendaal impresses

Richard Groenendaal (Rabobank) continued his dominance of the SuperPrestige Trophy this season, winning the fourth round in Gieten, the Netherlands. Groenendaal was too good for Bart Wellens and Peter Van Santvliet (Spaar Select) as he cruised to a 42 second victory.

The only rider who could normally stay with Groenendaal was his teammate Sven Nijs, who was forced to pull out after a lap. He was suffering from illness and hadn't slept properly the night before.

Groenendaal now holds a comfortable 39 point lead over Peter Van Santvliet after four rounds of the Super Prestige series (8 races in total).
