The Jay we know

Australian Jay Sweet (BigMat) won the second stage of Tour de Normandie since Danish Team Fakta, with the leader Lennie Kristensen, did not allow any major attacks. There were several attempts during the stage but the Danes managed to have someone along in all attacking groups.

"We had a plan to attack on the last climb with 40 kms to go ourselves but then two other riders were already away so we had to reel them in", says the Danes' sports director Kim Andersen.

The sprint was no problem for Jay Sweet. The other top sprinter in the field, Jimmy Caspar (Francaise des Jeux), never got a good position and rolled in as fourteenth.
