German National TT Championships (Women)

Germany, June 1, 2000

At age 26, Hanka Kupfernagel won her 17th German Championship title by taking the 30 kms ITT with a 1.38 margin over defending champion Judith Arndt. The time, 39.34 gives a speed of close to 45.5 kph.

"It was hard today with headwind on the outward leg. I had all the other strong riders behind me so I did not know on the first kilometres whether I was doing well or not," said the Champion.
