Erik Raadom 5.18.6 Day 2 - June 25: Elite Men's Road RaceAus bests KirsipuuEstonian Lauri Aus (Ag2r Prevoyance) won the Baltic Road Race Championships and Estonian national title after a successful breakaway on the last lap. Aus' Estonian team mate from Ag2r, Jaan Kirsipuu was second with third place going to Arvis Piziks (Memorycard – Jack&Jones), the new Latvian champion. Young Lithuanian Vladimir Smirnov (Palmans-Ideal) as fourth clinched his country's national title. The race, called also the Tallinn GP, gathered 92 riders from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland. Two notable non-starters were world’s eighth-ranked Latvian Romans Vainsteins (missed the plane) and Lithuanian Raimondas Rumsas (because of injury).
