Wilson in yellow
Anna Wilson, riding for the AIS Australian Team, clocked the fastest
time in the opening prologue of the International Thüringen Rundfarht
for Women to claim the yellow jersey in record time. Wilson rode 7 minutes
49 seconds for the 6 kilometre circuit to average nearly 46 km/h. She
beat strong time trialists, Hanka Kupfernagel (Radteam Kupfernagel)
and Mari Holden (US National) into second and third respectively.
Tomorrow's stage starts again in Zeulenroda involving a 110 km undulating
course, finishing in Schleiz.
