Stage 11 - January 25: San Antonio-Ureña-Bramón, 146.8 km

Vásquez nearly home

With one stage to go of the 35th Vuelta a Tachira, it looks as though Venuzuelan Tachiran Lottery rider, Noel Vásquez will win the overall classification.

The stage went to Colombian Jairo Perez (Selle Italia), who finished the 147 km in 3:44.15, 1:11 clear of the main group. The bunch sprint was won by Vásquez' closest rival on GC, Carlos Maya, who picked up a further 4 seconds time bonus. However, Maya is unlikely to close the remaining 56 second deficit on the last stage.

The final 126 km stage will start Peribeca, El Piñal and finish in the J.J. Mora Velodrome in San Cristóbal.
