Night 1 - January 21, 2000

The new emergency constellation Bruno Risi with Andrea Collinelli substituting for an injured Kurt Betschart really proved to be more than fillers in the Stuttgart Six days. At the end of the first night they lead the race after winning the major chase of the evening over 200 laps, Baffi and Villa won the opening 50 minutes.

Six teams are together, and with de Wilde and Gilmore one lap down the race is, of course still open. The German middle men have started this last race well. Dörich and Weisspfennig are on the leader's lap and Jens Lehmann backed Jimmi Madsen up well, especially in the long chase.

The crowd, 8000 people, a little less than expected.
