The close of the second night in Berlin saw Swiss duo Risi and Betschart take the lead, gaining a lap on Italians, Martinello and Villa and Germans Kappes and Pollack. Australian/German pair, Scott McGrory and Robert Bartko were just behind in fourth spot, while yesterday's leaders, Baffi and Collinelli crashed to fifth place, two laps off the pace.

Sprinters:

German sprinter, Jens Fiedler once again set the track on fire with a 250m lap record of 13.406 seconds (67.134 km/h). In the kieren race he managed third but triumphed in the sprint between Latvian Kiksis and German Eyk Pokorny. He now is equal with Kiksis on points in the overall.
