Olympian Matt Sinton has increased his lead in the Manukau Velodrome Sprint competition,winning the 500m Scratch feature event at Manukau Velodrome last Friday night. In the final, sinton took the lead from the gun, and held off fast-finshing Paul Burns, who was the fastest sprinter at last week's New Zealand Selectors Trials at Mosgiel.

Elisabeth Williams was in a different class from the rest of the field in the Women's 500m race. Williams took four bike lengths from Kate Mullarkey at the start, and maintained the gap until the finish.

Steven Wallis won the A-Grade Win and Out and the 8km Points race, to take a 20 point lead from Richard Bowker in the Rider of the Year Competition.
