Stage 18 - September 14: Béjar-Ciudad Rodrigo, 159 km
It's not over yet for the climbers as they have two more chances to show their worth before the end of this year's Vuelta. Today's stage from Béjar to Ciudad Rodrigo takes in several categorised climbs, with the hardest being the category 1 Alto de el Portillo at kilometre 92. This is 12 kilometres averaging nearly 6 percent, and there is a good opportunity for a race deciding move to go here. A couple of smaller climbs follow before a very fast descent into the finish at Rodrigo.
