Preview

The four day, four stage Tour du Limousin (2.3) is the French rival to the Spanish Tour of Galicia that is currently underway. As such, its participation is primarily French, with riders such as Christophe Moreau (Festina), Christophe Capelle (BigMat), Laurent Brochard (Jean Delatour), Stéphane Heulot (FdJ), Jean-Cyril Robin (Bonjour) being the main favourites. Amongst the foreigners, Michael Blaudzun (MCJ&J), David Millar (Cofidis), Jaan Kirsipuu (Ag2r), Stuart O'Grady (Credit Agricole) and Rolf Sørensen (Rabobank) being ones to watch.

The race is 706 kilometres starting with 162 kilometres from Limoges to Châtre on Tuesday, then travelling to Aubusson (196 km) on Wednesday. The third stage on Thursday from Aubusson to Tulle is 185 kilometres and the hardest of the race, which finishes on Friday with 163 km back to Limoges.
