Stage 6, Sept 26 - Nis-Jagodina, 107 kms

Report:

Carlström in control in Serbia

By keepeng the pace up, Team Wirsbo managed to defend Kjell Carlström's yellow jersey. Ther stage ended in a mass sprint with Carlström coming fifth and Czech Lubor Teslar winning.

Carlström also gained a one second bonification during the 100 kms stage. Sprint leader Adamsson had to give up his blue jersey though. All of the team's efforts are now concentrated on keeping the yellow on Carlström.

"We had a strong tail wind and all we had to do was to ride a team time trial up front. It seems that everybody gave up all idea of attacking when we averaged over 50 kph," said Carlström.

Tomorrow's last stage contains two climbs towards the end and will prove to be a tougher test for the Swedish team since all the other top contenders had a "rest day" in the peloton.
