Main Page September 17 - Stage 4 - Borgo a Mozzano 101 km In a tough, hilly stage, Edita Pucinskaite again showed her strength by attacking on the final climb and putting 1:37 into the bunch for her 3rd stage win of the Tour. In a closely fought battle for 2nd, Allessandra Cappellotto overcame Lucia Pizzolotto and Fabiana Luperini, the latter two moving up to 2nd and 3rd on GC after their efforts. According to Karren Kurreck, Vera Hohlfeld had one of the most spectacular blowups that she had seen. Hohlfeld was very impressively hanging onto Luperini and Edita until about 500m to the top, when she started weaving back and forth across the road, barely going fast enough to stay upright! Kurreck's group passed her and she finished a minute behind them.
