Stage 13 - October 23 - Churchill to Mirboo North, 32.8 kmsReportDanish rider (Home Jack & Jones) Michael Blaudzun extended his lead by over one minute following today's tough time trial stage from Churchill to Mirboo North. Coming into the start with only a 21 second lead over second-placed Tomas Konecny, the Dane rode powerfully to win by 28 seconds from another Czech rider Jan Hruska, who has now moved up the GC into third place, replacing young Irish rider Ciaran Power. The Irishman didn't thrive during the time trial and came in at 10th,
over two and a half minutes behind the Danish rider. As expected the ITT has led to a re-order at the top of the GC, with the main casualty being Power, who slipped from third to fourth overall, but with a deficit of well over four minutes. Meanwhile, the current holder of both the Sprinter's Jersey and the KOM title, Robbie McEwen, seemingly strolled through the 32.8 km course, taking nearly one hour and finishing in last position (obviously saving himself for another stage win).
