The Swiss team, as well as the other teams from the Jelajah: - USA, Burma, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taipei, Mongolia, Iran and Kirgistan also participated in the 1.6 Perlis Open and some other races in Malaysia.

Malaysian Mohammed Jamaluddin won the race solo eleven seconds ahead of a group of eleven riders with the Swiss Urs Spycher first over the line. The peloton came in at 1.38.
