His time for the event was 5 hours 8 minutes and 56 seconds. In the 50 km International Women's road race, it was the Dutch cyclist Janneke Vos who won in a 14 rider final sprint in the time of 1 hour 19 minutes and 27 seconds. The Tour de Okinawa was a difficult race for the European riders - the European season had finished at the Giro di Lombardia, so many riders had not raced for 4 weeks. Even the riders and directors that came to the Japan cup said that it was difficult for them racing 2 weeks after Lombardia. The Netherlands National Team (Rabobank amateur team) trained for a week before the race, but they didn't perform well in the Tour. The Tour de Okinawa organisers want to increase the UCI classification of the race (now 1.5), but it is very difficult due to this schedule. Men's Champion Road Race - 200 km Avs: 38.84 km/h 1.
