They were a narrow 0.58 points ahead of German cousins Eva and Yvonne Breitenbach. The title defending Portuguese Carmen and Yvone Carvalho fell. Heiko and Michael Rauch, Germany, won the men's artistic pair event ahead of compatriots Stefan Raaf and Michael Rot and French Frederic Sonnenmoser and Pascal Gilgenkrantz.
