Six Days of Munich

Germany, November 4 - 9, 1999

Night 1 - November 4

The Munich six days begins as a "revenge" meeting from Dortmund with the Italian Martinello, this time with German Andreas Kappes, taking the lead from Risi and Betschart of Switzerland. The duo performed in front of 8,000 "audibles" on the stands, although it was Risi who took the final sprint in the opening hour chase.

At the end of the night these two pairs were on top but highest in points were young German Bartko and Aussie Scott McGrory - and they are only one lap down together with De Wilde and Gilmore and awaiting Italian Grenoble winners Baffi and Collinelli.

But what has happened to the Spaniards? The World Champions are already six laps down. Dane Sandstød, this time with compatriot Braikia, seems to have lost on the swap from Grenoble mate Piil.
