1998 Results     Report The "Star" is the traditional opening race on the Dutch calendar. Rik Reinerink from the new Batavus team achieved his first professional victory when he beat Mark ter Schure and his teammate John Talen. 25-year old Reinerink was very active throughout the race and made up for his disappointment last weekend. In Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne last Sunday, his first major race as a professional, Reinerink punctured twice and he finished the race in the team car. In Zwolle, he was very aggressive. He said afterwards: "This is very nice but I want to repeat it in the bigger races." The 166 kms race started and finished in Zwolle. Zwolle - Zwolle, 166 kms: 1.
