Chiasso, 136.5 kms:

The GP Chiasso is the first of two days of racing centred on the town of Chiasso in Switzerland. The first day is usually scheduled to be over 153 kms starting in Chiasso but because of snow on the climb of Morbio the race was shortened by one lap (16.9 kms). All the top Italian teams take this race very seriously as a prelude to Milan-San Remo and all the top riders will be there.

On Sunday, the riders race the Giro del Lago Maggiore.
