Peter Trkman, our Slovenian reporter writes that the GP Kranj is in its second year as a stage race after being transformed last year from a single day classic.

Stage 2, Kranj - Smarjetna Gora, 158 kms:

Peter Trkman, our Slovenian reporter writes that on the final steep climb Sviben was the first to attack but was caught just a few metres before the line. Bratkowski won the stage in the sprint of the first group and even got a yellow jersey. Just for a few minutes though - after the complaint was upheld it went to Igor Kranjec. Kranjec now has the same time and number of points as the second rider in GC, but he is ahead of him because he was higher placed in the 2nd stage.
