Report:

Ernst Brescher reports that only 15 of 46 starters finished as the race was very hard. The parcours was a 9.2 kms with a very difficult uphill section at the end. The riders had to do it 15 times. Ernst said it is a very difficult test of the riders (he did it himself in 1965!).

The race was organized at Pratteln by Serge Lange and the town is only 20 kms from the Basel. It has quite a tradition. close to the City of Basel has quite a tradition. From 1961 to 1970 it was won by the best amateurs both local and foreign. It was resumed again in 1984 and became open to professionals in 1987 onwards.
