Franco Ballerini won this year's Paris-Roubaix, the second time he has done this. He won after a solo flight of more than 30 kms. Two years ago he won the Amsterdam RAI Dernyrace/GP Doeland with a sudden solo attack. Perhaps he will do the same this year.

Frank Vandenbroucke
23-years

Having won Paris-Nice, Gent-Wevelgem, taken 2nd in Waalse Pijl and a 6th place in Luik-Bastenaken-Luik, Frank Vandenbroucke is now one of the biggest cycling talents around. His team leader Patrick Lefevere thinks he can win everything.

One of the tough riders. He won Olmpic silver in the team's pursuit in Barcelona. In Atlanta he won two bronze medals in the points score and the team's pursuit. He was a world champion in the team's pursuit as an amatuer in 1993 in Hamar. On the road, O'Grady is one of the best riders now. He was clearly very strong in the classics, but lacked the necessary finish.
