With the win of Christoph Roodhooft in Brussel-Opwijk, they dominated the Vlaamse Pijl, a race for elites and neo-amateurs under the guidance of Dirk Demol. The duo of Geoffrey Demeyere-Stijn Devolder helped each to take the top two positions on Sunday. With less than half the race gone, a break of 4 riders went away: Geoffrey Demeyere, Stijn De Volder, Jurgen Guns and Oliver Penney. The clubs of Kortrijk, Merelbeke and the Merckxboys working to stop the break the 4 built a gap of less that half a minute. But eventually Guns and Penney were dropped by attacks from Demeyere and then De Volder. The Kortrijkse teammates rode together to the end.
