Podium: Stage winner and race leader Mark Cavendish (Team Columbia),
leader of the Mountains Classification Matt Wilson (Team Type 1 Cycling Team) and leader of the Points Classification Alexander Kristoff (Joker Bianchi Team). Boy Van Poppel (Rabobank) is third in the Under 25 Classification behind Cavendish and Kristoff and will wear the white jersey on Stage 2.
