Warragul track carnival/Victorian Madison Championships

Warragul, Victoria, February 16, 2002

Training crash boy Sam Atkinson shows off the zipper-like scar which stretches across his abdomen. He broke his jaw in three places, perforated his  oesophagus, lost 11 teeth, tore his liver, bruised his kidneys and damaged his spleen in a January 21 accident. Local cyclists are raising money to buy him a new bicycle.
