Jose Garrido (L, Benfica) rides together with Pedro Martins (Gresco Tavira 2nd R), Hernan Buenahora (hidden, Selle Italia) Aitor Kintana (2nd, Euskaltel) and Bruno Castanheira (R, LA Pecol), on his way to winning the 8th stage of the Tour of Portugal to Braganca, 31 July 2000. Garrido suffered injuries to his arms during a fall.
