US Postal Service presented by Berry Floor training camp

Solvang, California, USA, January 22, 2004

Another day, another hundred miles

Steve Dascomb continues to follow the US Postal Service presented by Berry Floor training camp, keeping an eye on what is happening as the team prepares for the 2004 season.

The elusive Lance Armstrong has finally made an appearance, having his bike delivered to him in the hotel room and simply riding out the front lobby of the hotel to avoid a small gathering of autograph seekers. Last time I tried to ride in a hotel lobby I got in trouble, so I guess Lance gets a few privileges to go with his five Tour de France wins.

The team is training in two groups; the first group includes those in contention for the classics team, including Hincapie and Ekimov, while the second has the Spaniards, Lance and the domestic riders.
