As always,
the race blew apart on the lower slopes of the climb to Oak Glen. This year the contenders left to battle it out were the Saturn trio of Nathan O'Neill, Chris Horner and Tom Danielson plus climbing Ace Jonathan Vaughters (Prime Alliance) and two time MTB World Champ Roland Green (Trek-VW All Stars)
