Day 3 - June 29: Elite Men and Junior road races, 158.4 kilometres

A dejected Philip Deignan (AG2R La Mondiale) withdrew from the race. The man from Donegal had been favoured as a possible contender for the title and was subsequently closely marked but, judging by his oil-covered hands, a mechanical problem may have eliminated him from contention.
