2005 Team rosters
The Gears racing Institute has announced the Gears Racing Road Bicycle Racing Team for the 2005.
Joining the 2005 team will be 2004 Ontario Provincial Espoir Road Race and ITT Champion Ryan Roth. Ryan along with 5 wins and 10 top 5 placings was the top North American and top espoir finisher at the 2004 Univest Grand Prix. Matched along with Ryan will be three other espoir riders, 2004 World Championship participant Adam Thuss, 2004 Ontario Provincial Junior Road Race Silver Medalist Dave Vuket, and 2003 Junior Ontario Cup overall champion Matt Gusé.
Returning to the team in 2005 will be 2004's Springbank Road Race Champion Jeff Schiller. Jeff along with Dan Lefebvre and Michael Moore will provide the team leadership and mentoring to help the Espoir racers achieve their goals and meet their potential. Alongside these athletes will be the tandem duo of Craig deVeer and Gene Della Siega.
"We are very excited about the Gears Road Team in 2005", said Gears racing Institute president Kevin Wallace. "It is our belief that by continuing to focus on the talents of select espoir racers and by matching them with seasoned and experienced riders like Dan Lefebvre and Michael Moore will be a positive step in the development of these espoirs, a step in the direction of becoming some of Canada's best road athletes."
Gears Racing is proud to be sponsored by Shimano Canada, Specialized Bicycles, Sugoi, RockShox, Michelin Tires, Stoney Ridge Estate Winery, and Bonham & Co. Inc.
The Gears Racing Road Team will be competing in events provincially and nationally within Canada, as well as select US events.
Gears will continue its support of the Mississauga Bicycle Racing Club, whose primary focus is competitive amateur road racing.
