A true survivor
Tasmanian cyclist Louise Yaxley, some four months after the accident in Germany that nearly took her life and resulted in horrific injuries, was well and truly back on her feet at the TIS athlete of the year awards in Hobart on November 11, 2005. Two weeks earlier, her boyfriend Mark Padget proposed to her and the couple are now happily engaged.
