2004 Team rosters

XXX Racing-AthletiCo

XXX Racing-AthletiCo, based in Chicago, Illinois, USA, has announced its lineup for the 2004 season. The team continues to expand following a 2003 campaign that included 103 podium finishes and 'Team of the Year' honours from the Northbrook Velodrome. Identified by its distinctive red and black kit, XXX Racing was founded in 1999 by professional couriers in Chicago. The team has steadily increased in size since its inception and its current roster of 70 athletes will compete in a broad range of cycling disciplines in 2004.

Highlighting the lineup for XXX Racing-AthletiCo is Junior/Cat II standout Rebecca Much, who made an impact on the national scene in 2003 by recording podium finishes at the US Junior Track Nationals, the US Junior Road Nationals and, most recently, the USA Cyclo-cross Nationals in Portland, Oregon. Much raced to a third-place finish in the Junior Cyclo-cross Nationals and followed with a 24th-place showing in the Women's Elite race, won by Alison Dunlap.

AthletiCo, a sports medicine and physical therapy chain based in Chicagoland, has signed on as XXX Racing's co-title sponsor for a second-consecutive year. Clif Bar is also continuing its affiliation with the squad, including support of the 2004 Sherman Park Criterium on August 28 in Chicago. Additional sponsors include Bari Foods, Cerdomus, Chicagoland Bicycle Federation, Del Hall Video, Upgrade Cycleworks and Yojimbo's Garage, as well as product sponsorship from Northwave, Profile Design, Rudy Project, Serfas, Speedplay and Spinergy.

XXX Racing-AthletiCo is coached by Randy Warren, winner of the 1-kilometer road time trial at the 1994 Masters World Championships and former mentor of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's collegiate program. For more information, visit the team's website at http://www.xxxracing.org
