2004 Team rosters

Kalahari/Bicycle Sports Elite Cycling and Multisport Team

Atlanta, USA based cycling team Kalahari/Bicycle Sports is expanding for 2004, with the target of having a dominant Southeast program. A category 3 and masters team in 2003, Kalahari has increased its level of sponsorship in combination with John Cobb's Bicycle Sports to fuel seven category 1/2 racers and 7 multisport athletes.

The road team's season will begin by visiting some early Florida races and the Greenville training series. Those races will be followed by three intensive months of NRC racing with a focus on elite national championships. The multisport athletes will set their sights on local events such as the Dannon Duathlon, Florida Ironman and Gulf coast triathlon with an emphasis on qualifying for the Hawaii Ironman.

Kalahari (www.kalahariusa.com), a national leader in the sale of South African Red Teas and Rusks, continues to be the team's title sponsor. With a new energy fruit bar coming to market in 2004, the Kalahari Bicycle Sports Athletes will be fuelled for victory in the southeast and nationally. Along with Kalahari, John Cobb's Bicycle Sports will serve as the technical and product backbone of the squad. Secondary sponsors include Steve LaScala-chiropractor/team doctor, John Wesley Hammer Construction and Moon Bros. Architects.
