2004 Team rosters

ABD-Trek/VW Men's Team

Athletes By Design Cycling announced its Men's Elite team for 2004. In 2003 the team had the highest and second-highest placed amateurs overall at Superweek as well as winning the points jersey. ABD also produced a victory at the Arlington Classic Criterium and top 10 finishes at both road and criterium nationals.

Like the ABD Women's program, the 2004 ABD Men's squad is even stronger. Several new riders are on this year's roster, including 2002 Elite National Criterium Champion Jim Baldesare, Ben Raby, who spent the last two seasons in Europe with Bio-agrico, and Ryan Nenninger from Team Mack. The team will focus on major events in the Midwest from May through September. The first race of the year will be the Old Capitol Criterium in Iowa, followed by split-squads at the Joe Martin Stage Race and Tour of Southeast Michigan, followed by the Quad Cities Weekend, part of the 2004 National Racing Calendar (NRC).

Adidas eyewear also signed on for 2004, and Serfas pledged additional support with custom versions of their "Karv" helmets. Returning sponsors include Central DuPage Hospital, Power-Tap, Cyclops trainers, Carnac shoes, Speedplay pedals and Voler clothing.
