2006 Team rostersNature Valley elite team for 2006The 2006 Nature Valley Elite road team, presented by Nature Valley Granola Bars, Penn Cycle, and Green Mill Restaurants, has announced its 2006 roster. Based in Minneapolis, MN, the team will focus on regional events and NRC events including the Nature Valley Grand Prix (www.minnbikefestival.com), Joe Martin Stage Race (www.joemartinstagerace.com), Tour of 10,000 Lakes (www.tourof10000lakes.net), International Cycling Classic (www.internationalcycling.com), and local events which can be found on the Minnesota Cycling Federation calendar of events (www.mcf.net). Brothers Doug and Dan Swanson return in 2006, and bring an all-around strength to the team. Doug is the reigning Chequamegon 40 champion as well as the Tour of 10,000 Lakes GC winner, and has numerous race wins in the road, mountain, and cyclocross disciplines in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Co-captain Ian Stanford saw many successes in 2005 including a second place at the NORBA Marathon in Phoenix and a high finish at Elite Road Nationals in Utah. Anne Grabowski leads the charge in the women's ranks, and expects to be back to top form after a season delayed by injury. In 2006, Anne will be looking to eclipse her 2004 Nature Valley Grand Prix when she was the top women's amateur.
