2006 Team rosters2006 ISCorp Cycling TeamNova Cycle Sport, Inc. has announced the 2006 ISCorp Cycling Team. Nova Cycle Sport, Inc. prides itself on supporting young riders and has once again announced a large junior roster, supported by the club's sponsors and vast network of master cyclists who provide opportunities for young cyclists to strive to the best of their abilities both on and off the bicycle. The ISCorp Women's Cycling Team was new a new addition to the club in 2005 and had a stellar season. Nova Cycle Sport, Inc. was the number one team in Wisconsin for the second year in a row based on the 2004 and 2005 Wisconsin Cycling Association's Wisconsin Cup overall win in the team competition. Nova Cycle Sport also won for the first time the team overall competition in the Wisconsin Cycling Association's Cyclocross Series. The ISCorp Cycling Team had several cyclists win the 2005 Wisconsin Cup overall in individual categories as well as several State Championship events. Club member Kaitie Antonneau was a double US national champion for junior girls 13-14 in the road race and cyclocross. Every year the ISCorp Junior Cycling Team competes in the Tour de l'Abitibi, an UCI sanctioned international stage race for 17 and 18 year old junior cyclists. The Tour de l'Abitibi is held in Val-d'Or, Quebec and is the only UCI Junior World Cup event in North America. The ISCorp Junior Cycling Team finished 9th overall out of an international field of 27 teams in the 2005 Tour de l'Abitibi. This year Nova Cycle Sport raised over $5000 for the MACC fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) by receiving donations for the Nova Cycle Sport's participation in the MACC funds 16th annual Trek 100 Ride for Hope event held June 4, 2005. Along with club participation in the MACC fund's Trek 100, our members also assisted the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin with bicycle helmet fittings. Over a three day period in conjunction with the Summer Fest music festival held every year on the Summer Fest grounds along Milwaukee's lake front, our members volunteered their time to fit children and their parents with bicycle helmets. The bicycle helmets cost $10 each but can only be sold to children and parents that are present to be properly fitted to the helmet by our club's members or Children's Hospital of Wisconsin staff. Over 300 bicycle helmets were sold in hopes of preventing serious head injuries. Nova Cycle Sport promotes the Wisconsin Criterium State Championships held in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. This year's event will be Saturday, August 26. Last year Nova Cycle Sport suffered the loss of Matt Wittig. This year's team kit will feature on the left sleeve a green arm band in Matt Wittig's honor. Green represents organ donation and Matt was able to help over 75 individuals with his precious gift of life. Matt was a true sportsman on and off the bike and the 2005 Wisconsin Cup overall team award went to Matt Wittig's family. Recently Nova Cycle Sport suffered another loss when Randy Hill died from Anyloidosis, a rare protein disorder. Randy's family has requested in lieu of flowers or gifts, make a donation in Randy's name to the www.maccfund.org or to the https://www.uwfoundation.wisc.edu/giving/giving2.nsf/jsCheck and add "Matt Wittig" at the bottom of the form. Nova Cycle Sport members will be "Racing in Spirit" in 2006 to honor Matt and Randy. 2006 Nova Cycle Sport RosterJuniors Kaitlin Antonneau Elite/Espoirs Jason Carr Women Keri Anderson Masters Craig Breed SponsorsTitle Sponsor: ISCorp (Integrated Systems Corporation) Team staffClub President: William Ochowicz
